Ankit D. Oza is currently working as a teaching assistant in the Department of Industrial Engineering, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU), Gandhinagar, India. His major research area includes Non-traditional and hybrid machining processes, Micromachining and its applications, Advanced Manufacturing Science and Technology, Finite Element Method, Design of Experiments in Manufacturing. Currently, working on the design and development of various hybrid non-conventional micro-machining processes such as Traveling wire-electrochemical discharge machining (TW-ECDM), Electrochemical discharge machining (ECDM), Electrochemical machining (ECM), Wire-Electrical discharge machining (W-EDM), Electrochemical discharge grinding (ECDG), etc.
He has published more than 12 papers in the reputed Journals and also, attended and presented 7 papers in the International conferences in reputed institutions like IITs.During Ph.D. tenure, he has designed and developed 2 nos. of the experimental setup of traveling wire-electrochemical discharge machining (TW-ECDM) process for machining of various non-conducting materials at the micro-level. Recently, he has successfully modified the EDM setup (which is available in the workshop, PDPU) for the Micro-ECDM process. He is a reviewer of Springer Journal and Editorial board member of the “Journal of Mechanical and Manufacturing Process (JMMP)”, USA, furthermore, he has invited Reviewer for “International Conference on Mechanical and Automobile Engineering” at Munich, Germany.
Additionally, he attended many STTPs, technical seminars in various reputed institutes. He is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Executive (CSSE), Black Belt by Henry Harvin Education. He is enthusiastic about participation in group activities and always willingly ready to run the extra mile for the sake of his peers. Apart from research, he has mentored research staff and B.Tech and M.Tech students and published collaborative work at Journals and international conferences.
