Biography

Dr. Shah is an Associate Professor in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Automotive, Coventry University, a Professional Engineer, a member of Institution of Engineering and Technology. Dr. Shah obtained a Ph.D. from Warwick University, United Kingdom specializing in complex hybrid powertrain-vehicle system interaction for control strategies development via Model-In-the-Loop (MIL) and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) platforms. He has 25 years of working experience in automotive propulsion systems and vehicle engineering within industry and academia. His expertise lies in powertrain electrification, energy management, advanced control strategies development, thermal management, model-based system engineering, and test methodologies. He has involved in more than 20 industry research and academics projects to develop an efficient energy system for propulsion and vehicle systems. His research efforts have been disseminated in international refereed journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters. He is supervising and co-supervising projects in vehicle electrification technology and an advanced propulsion system. Dr. Shah has served as a visiting fellow at Cranfield University and co-supervised postgraduate students in the area of energy storage thermal management. Currently, Dr. Shah is a Visiting Academic at Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Malaysia.
